Earlier this year I visited a man in the hospital with the house church shepherd. His wife is a member of the house fellowship and her husband was an adulterer that beat her. I said that it was probably the Father’s will that we visited when we did.

Fast forward a few months later. We had a Christmas outreach this year and after the program we gave an invitation for everyone to respond to the Gospel’s call. Many people stood up and accepted Christ but one person in particular walked to the front. It was the man I talked to a few months ago. Afterward the woman came to thank me because her husband had just accepted Jesus to be his Lord and Savior. I’m not naive to think that all the problems are now gone, but I think this finally begins the healing process for their family.

What’s going to happen to their family? I don’t know. But, for the first time, the Lord is the head of their house and he is faithful to finish the good work that he started (Phil. 1:6).
